In Remembrance of the Magnitude of Human Warehousing

As mental institutions are torn down across the U.S. and replaced by luxury apartments, the evidence of the magnitude of the mass warehousing of devalued people is being lost for future generations. In this video, I let the camera roll as I circumnavigated the outside of the massive Kirkbride structure at the former Danvers State Hospital.  Soon after I filmed, the institution was demolished and with it, the physical evidence of the folly of human warehousing as a social policy in northeastern Massachusetts.
