Currently, I work part-time in two different roles. Firstly, self-employed as an English tutor and mentor one-on-one with high school students, and secondly, as a pastoral carer for Lighthouse Church. With a family history of major mental illness documented in Australian newspapers dating back to the 1830s, I made it my mission to find answers for myself and as it has turned out for my son also. Through the CPMC course in 2023, I discovered I had been using Personal Medicine without my knowledge to aid my own recovery as I am now about 12 years healthy without medication for episodic psychosis and breakthrough symptoms free. I am no longer afraid of relapse, and it has given me the confidence to live a full (taking on more employment) and rewarding life. I now have hope for my son's journey to recovery and pray he doesn't take as long as I did to get there now I know how to help him.
