I've more than twenty years experience with mental health services. (In 2009 I began navigating my own recovery. Since then, I obtained my Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling with a graduate level certificate in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. I'm a certified rehabilitation counselor who taught four years in the Clinical Rehabilitation Track (LPCC) at San Diego State University's Rehabilitation Counseling Program. I hosted the Emotional Self-Reliance Podcast.
I became a Certified Personal Medicine Coach because I was lost in the system for the first 12 years of my journey with symptoms. When I began exploring Personal Medicine in 2009, I discovered I'd finally found the "Gateway to Recovery." Since then, I'm determined to help others learn that like Pat says, "Help shouldn't be toxic. Help should not hurt. Help should not break us down." There are so many ways in which we can navigate this recovery journey. The more we learn from one another more we will thrive in this life. Recovery happens. "I'm the evidence."
