My name is Todd and I work for the Mental Health Empowerment Project in Albany, NY. We help individuals to connect with their passion through the power of Peer Support. We also specialize in training peers and agencies on recovery-oriented practices and peer support values and implementation.
I enjoy training, especially the interactions I have with peers and other trainees. This COVID period has really put a damper on our ability to connect with people in person, but we continue to work to connect virtually to help support and train peers and agencies.
As a Certified Peer Specialist, I use my lived experience to support others through virtual support sessions. I enjoy being a Peer Specialist and helping others to understand the crucial role of peers in supporting people in their recovery.
I became a Personal Medicine Coach to enhance my abilities and tools as a Peer Specialist. I am excited about the potential to develop and use new means to connect with the people I support.
